She’s known as a role model for so many different reasons, and Kate Middleton was most recently recognized for her work as a volunteer. The Duchess of Cambridge is the main attraction on the February/March issue of Scouting , a U.K. magazine dedicated to promoting scouts. Aside from many of her generous projects, Kate was chosen as the cover girl after she performed some private volunteer work with the girl and boy scouts in the areas of Anglesey and North Wales. The work she does with the scouts is just one of five charities she chose to take on as royalty and Kate is set to start officially touring some of them next month. With rumors of one cast member not being invited back for season three of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , we can now report on the rumors going around of who might replace her; namely, a pair of real former athlete wives. According to The Huffington Post , producers are wooing Bryant, who recently split from some shooting guard on the Los Angeles Lakers; and Lisa, who divorced NFL linebacker Mark Gastineau in 1991 and starred alongside her daughter on E!’s Gastineau Girls a few years ago. Said one insider of Bryant: “She is now single and free and doesn’t ever have to worry about earning another dollar in her life, so she can focus on what makes the show so much fun: herself,” while the same sources added of Lisa: “She is the example of how not to get divorces. She has a wonderful life but works very hard to pay her bills and would love to find love again.” Bravo may need to compete with another cable network for Vanessa’s services, however: VH1 is courting her for Basketball Wives .

Jon Gosselin and Ellen Ross have split up after nearly two years together. It’s unclear exactly why the ex-husband of Kate Gosselin split with his lady friend, but reports say Ellen’s distaste for the media was the final straw. “Ellen didn’t like the media attention and other things that came with the relationship,” a source said. “That’s one of the main reasons they broke up.” Wait … we still pay attention to Jon Gosselin ? Besides right now? Who knew! According to an insider, the twosome broke up more than a week ago, but it wasn’t until Friday that Jon Gosselin confirmed the breakup on Twitter: “Recently, after much thought and discussion, Ellen and I have decided to end our relationship. It was a mutual decision and we are both happy.” “We will remain best friends. We both plan to move forward and focus on our separate lives. We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time.” So far, no word from Ellen Ross personally, except a denial earlier this week that was debunked when Jon spilled the beans on Twitter. She’s always on the go, and earlier today (January 27) Shakira was spotted arriving at the airport in Nice, France. The “Hips Don’t Lie” hottie hopped off her plane and smiled for the paparazzi ahead of her appearance at the 2012 NRJ Music Awards. And it sounds like Shakira will be collaborating on a brand new song with none other than Britney Spears. According to a report, the two pop music queens will be working with will.i.am and PHarrell Williams on the track. Williams told press, “I have proposed to [Spears's label] Jive Records to bring Shakira into the studio and they thought it was a fabulous idea. I want to make it happen. I Love You” stud looked hunky in a button-up shirt with distressed jeans and sunglasses as he gave a quick wave to the paparazzi. As for Brandi Glanville’s claim that she had a week-long sexual escapade with Butler (she rated him an 11 out of 10), Gerard says he’s never heard of her.
