Josh Hutcherson Covers Nylon Guys Feb/March 2012

As part of his “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” promotions, Josh Hutcherson put together a cover issue for the February/March 2012 installment of Nylon Guys . The 19-year-old donned a Louis Vuitton jacket, Volcon t-shirt and GAP jeans for the Kenneth Cappello shot front page while talking about being a Kentucky boy, having a connection with his “Hunger Games” character Peeta and wanting to direct someday. Highlights from Josh’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Nylon Guys ! On his Kentucky roots: “I have a couch on my front porch, Christmas lights up year-round, and a Jack Daniels pool table. I’m tried-and-true Kentucky blue. On reading “The Hunger Games” books: “I tore through them in like five days – I loved it. And I loved Peeta. It was scary to me how much I connected with Peeta. He had this belief that no matter what circumstances you’re put into, you maintain being true to yourself, and that’s one of my golden morals. In this business especially, you have a lot of opportunities to be fake. When Peeta goes into the games, he’s not going to let it change who he is. And I’m going into the game of the acting world, and I’m not going to let it change who I am.” On his desire to direct someday: “I’ve always wanted to get behind the camera, but it takes a lot of time. I don’t want to half-ass it.” On lending support to Straight But Not Narrow: “To have a ‘manly man guy’ come out and say, ‘Yeah guys, being gay is totally cool,’ I think this is getting the message out there that it makes you more of a man to be comfortable with who you are and what you believe in.”Photo Credit: Kenneth Cappello for Nylon Guys

Bachelorette Bonding: Emily Maynard Shops With Ashley Hebert, Ali Fedotowsky

The Bachelorette’s newly-minited star, Emily Maynard , was spotted bonding in L.A. with two women who have been in her shoes: Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert! The reality star joined Ali and Ashley for a makeup appointment and some chitchat at Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge in West Hollywood … obviously. According to a source, the ladies were talking about the ABC reality show, wth Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert giving Maynard advice about what to expect. “All three ladies got along so great,” a source says. “The ladies were really cute together; they joked around and … were all in very good moods – energetic and excited about being in each other’s company.” After the makeup session, the women filmed a promo for Emily Maynards Bachelorette season to air during the February 27 episode of The Bachelor . The following week is The Bachelor season finale. Our Bachelor spoilers page has the latest scoop on what (we think) plays out with Ben Flajnik’s season. [Photos: WENN.com]

Zooey Deschanel Covers Company March 2012

She’s enjoying success on her TV show “New Girl,” and Zooey Deschanel finds herself on the cover of the March 2012 issue of Company magazine. The 32-year-old poses for a too-cute Hilary Walsh shot spread while chatting about accidentally entering a beauty pageant and her status in the fashion world. Highlights from Zooey’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Company ! On accidentally entering a beauty pageant: “It was basically all the trappings of a beauty pageant, without the swimsuit round! You had to do a big musical opening number and answer the sorts of questions they ask in beauty pageants, about charity. I was horrified once I realized what it was. I thought I was entering a talent contest – a pageant was not cool! But I’m not a quitter, so I stuck it out, and my mom and sister laughed at me the entire time. I didn’t win. A girl who played the viola did.” On nerding out on music: “Old music, I mean. Interviewing Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys was life changing. So was the first gig my parents took my sister and me to. It was a Rolling Stones concert in a giant arena when I was eight. Guns ‘N Roses opened, and Axl Rose wore buttless pants. I was mortified that you could see his butt! At eight that was like the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.” On whether she considers herself a style icon: “I’m not Lady Gaga – I don’t push the envelope that much. I probably do more than most actresses, as I have my folk rock band, She & Him. People in the music world are allowed to go a little crazier; actresses usually stay so safe – it’s cool to be between. I’m not afraid to wear something weirder, even if people don’t like it.”Photo Credit: Hilary Walsh for Company

Chad Ochocinco: Changing Name Back to Chad Johnson!

Get ready to say goodbye to Chad Ochocinco. No, the NFL star is not retiring (although that can’t be too far off, given his waning effectiveness), he’s just planning to change his last name back to Chad Johnson. Seriously. After the ridiculous production involved in legally changing his last name to Ochocinco, Chad’s changing it back just in time for his wedding this summer. The reason? He doesn’t want his wife to have a made-up last name. Noble. But couldn’t she just stay Evelyn Lozada instead of being Mrs. Johnson or Ochocinco? Ocho’s wedding to his Basketball Wives fiancee is set for July in Florida, and the Patriots wide receiver plans to legally be Chad Johnson again by that time. For her part, Evelyn swears she doesn’t care what name she ends up with, and that the choice is entirely up to Chad … but he is doing it for her, he says. The only downside? Chad’s legal fees, and how much it sucks for all of you who bought Ochocinco jerseys, though now at least they’ll be a collector’s item. Evelyn Lozada and Chad recently postponed their wedding amid a firestorm of rumors that they were on the rocks, but apparently it’s back on. Hooray. [Photo: WENN.com]

Camila Alves: Matthew Has ‘Great Opinions’ on My Handbag Line

Slaven Vlasic/Getty Arriving at QVC’s runway show in New York Wednesday night, Camila Alves seemed to have a little extra sparkle, in the form of a stunning three-stone sparkler on her finger. The handbag designer was out for the first time since her Christmas engagement to longtime love Matthew McConaughey , and put her gorgeous engagement ring on display for all to see. “I am really enjoying being engaged right now … no wedding plans as of yet,” she told reporters. But speaking to PEOPLE earlier in the week, she was happy to dish on her fiancé’s sense of style. “Matthew has great taste,” she said. “He always has great opinions on what works and what doesn’t.” He even gives input on Alves’s handbag line, Muxo , which she designs with her mother. “We are one big family so we share everything — including opinions on the creations for the line.” Alves’s latest collection, which she’ll present on QVC this Saturday, was inspired by her recent travels through Texas, Arkansas, New Orleans, California and New York. “We are really having fun mixing all of the inspirations from the various landscapes that we’ve been collecting for some time now,” she shared. Courtesy QVC The Brazilian beauty fell in love with fashion at an early age; her mother, a designer by trade, would let her help with various projects. “It taught me so much about design,” she explained. “And after I had moved to the States I was looking for something to do with my mom to help the family in Brazil … so we created our first handbag together.” Though the pair has their moments — “Sometimes we butt heads like any mother and daughter,” Alves admitted — they feel “blessed” to work together. “We have a great relationship, and we create in a very unique way together.” Catch Alves on QVC Saturday, selling the latest from Muxo (including her favorite, a leather satchel with a kiss-lock front pocket, right), plus sales from Geren Ford’s Geren Lockhart, Dennis Basso, Mark Zunino and Lori Goldstein (10 p.m. EST). And tune in Friday (10 p.m. EST) for launches from Christina Ehrlich, Isaac Mizrahi , Fern Mallis, Karen Zambos, Marc Bouwer and Cynthia Vincent. –Kate Hogan SHOP STAR LOOKS FOR LESS
