Always looking to expand her portfolio, Nicole Scherzinger is the brand ambassador for the 2012 Herbal Essences ad campaign. The former Pussycat Doll looks absolutely fabulous in the new photo spread, set to take over the world in the coming months. Nicole explained, “I’ve always loved changing and evolving my style in my career, and playing with new and different hair styles has been a great creative outlet for me.” “I’m honored to partner with Herbal Essences, because it’s a brand I like and admire for its celebration of self expression and for encouraging women like me to have fun with their look!” Marketing director Kevin Crociata returned the compliment- “We’re thrilled to welcome Nicole to our Herbal Essences family. Kate Upton Heats Up Muse Magazine

Keeping her massive momentum moving forward, Kate Upton is featured on the front of Muse magazine’s latest issue. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl looks positively perfect in her birthday suit as she works her magic for the Italian ‘fashionart’ circular. Amazingly enough, Kate seems to be channeling a retro vibe, though she’s not wearing anything or posing in a vintage-style set. Instead, Ms. Upton relies on her bouffant coif and sultry glance to reference the beauty queens of a bygone era. And while most of her press has been positive as of late, Kate was slammed at the hands of Victoria’s Secret creative director Sophia Neophitou, who said she’d never hire Upton for a runway gig. “Her beauty is too obvious, like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”Photo Credit: Sebastian Faena for Muse

She’s been a busy girl as of late, with multiple media appearances this week, and Jennifer Aniston was spotted at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” yesterday (February 22). The “Just Go With It” cutie paid a visit to Ellen to promote her latest movie “Wanderlust,” and chat about her boyfriend Justin Theroux’s breakdancing antics the day before. Jen shared, “I feel quite guilty about this because … I said [to him], ‘You should probably be prepared because Ellen likes to surprise you with things … He was like, ‘She won’t do that to me. Murray Close Elizabeth Banks spent more than two hours in the makeup chair every morning transforming into The Hunger Games ‘s eccentric escort Effie Trinket, but that wasn’t the toughest part of the job. The actress admits to MTV.com that wearing her character’s fake nails every day really created some problems. “Once they were on I literally couldn’t do anything,” she says. “I couldn’t iPhone, BlackBerry, use the computer. I couldn’t go to the bathroom. I couldn’t zip or unzip or do a button, I couldn’t wipe.” So maybe it’s TMI, but the actress considers it necessary knowledge. “I just want everyone to know how far we had to go to make The Hunger Games ,” she jokes. Banks also has quite a wild wardrobe in the movie, but admits she was really excited about the clothes. “Effie is a very complicated character, and one of the things I loved about the costumes is that she’s technically a free person in this totalitarian society,” Banks explains. “She’s a resident of the Capitol, but the clothes are very constricting, restrictive. She can’t walk, she can barely breathe. I wanted that sense of oppression for her, and the easiest way to get it was in the clothes.” Tell us: Are you excited for The Hunger Games ? Kate Gosselin: So Sad, So Lonely!

Kate Gosselin still doesn’t know if she is ready to move on. It’s been nearly two years since she separated from her ex Jon Gosselin, and the mother of eight sat down with Dr. Drew Wednesday for a tearful, candid interview. The usually stoic 36-year-old got choked up, confessing that the single life “so lonely” and saying it would take a very special man to take on eight kids now. Even if one wanted to, she isn’t sure she can handle that. Kate Gosselin Cries on Dr. Drew When asked “Do you have a love life?’ Kate replied: “No. I’m too busy.” “A lot of my friends who are being constructive say ‘gosh, who are you going to meet that is going to be able to deal with eight kids?’ My answer’s always if they can deal with eight children in our situation it probably will be the person. It will sort of prove it.” Dr. Drew pushed Kate further, asking: “You’re tough but don’t you want somebody in your life?” To which she replied: “Absolutely! The odds are so against me.” “I mean, I don’t expect someone to come in and financially provide for my kids, I mean, they’re mine, that’s my job. So, just to have somebody there…” “One mom and eight kids … so it would be great. I mean, I’m so lonely. I clean up the house, put the kids to bed and there I sit. Adele Breaks Record With 21 Weeks at #1

Even the late Whitney Houston was unable to oust Adele from the #1 spot on the Billboard album chart, as the UK singer’s album set a new high water mark this week. Adele’s album, 21, fittingly took the top spot for a record 21st straight week. The previous title holder at 20 weeks? The Bodyguard soundtrack, by Whitney Houston . 21 is now the longest running No. 1 album by a woman. Boosted by her six Grammy awards and performance comeback, Adele’s 21 saw its best sales in 52 weeks on the U.S. chart, selling 730,000 copies just last week. 21 features hits “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You” and has now sold over 18 million copies worldwide since its release in Feb. 2011, Columbia Records said. The 23-year-old singer/songwriter also saw a surge in sales for her debut album, 19 , which sold 87,000 copies, while Houston has seen major posthumous sales. Seven of Houston’s albums re-entered the Billboard chart this week, led by Whitney: The Greatest Hits compilation at No. 2, selling an impressive 175,000 copies. Her self-titled album sold 17,000 to take the 37th spot. Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” single took the No. 2 spot in the Billboard Digital Songs Chart.

Sacha Baron Cohen Oscar Stunt: Denied by The Academy

Sacha Baron Cohen not been banned from The Academy Awards. Not yet at least. But the actor is in hot water with the organization because he wants to walk the red carpet dressed as the main character from The Dictator , a Middle Eastern leader named General Aladeen. The Academy is less than enthused over this plan. “We would hope that every studio knows that this is a bad idea,” a spokesperson told Deadline . “The red carpet is not about stunting.” The Dictator Trailer Still, Cohen – who stars in Hugo , a Best Picture nominee – is still invited to the ceremony… for now. An insider does conform however, that his tickets will be rescinded if he goes through with the stunt. What do you think? Should the Oscars remain pure, traditional and promotion-free? Or is still stale, ratings-declining ceremony in need of someone like Cohen to spice the show up?

The 44-year old Private Practice star goes public with her incredible nude body on the cover of this month’s issue, telling the magazine of the decision: Right now, I feel really healthy, confident, and sexy. I’m enjoying my 40s and wanted to share that. Is it a mid-life crisis? I do drive a Porsche, so maybe it is!” Walsh says she’s never had plastic surgery – “Everyone has her line in the sand. I draw mine at facials and laser treatments. But if others want to go a step further, it’s their call.” – but she did walk into a different kind of controversy a couple months ago. Many are still confused by her odd fragrance ad, which depicted the actress in full on gangsta mode . This issue of Shape goes on sale February 27.

On last night’s installment of American Idol , Randy, Steven and Jennifer broke the hearts of some contestants, while making the dreams of others come true, as they started the process of whittling 42 hopefuls down to the 24 semifinalists that will compete live next week. Did one of your favorites make the cut? Let’s take a look at the first 14 semifinalists on season 11, with the final group to be named this evening… Baylie Brown Las Vegas Audition Jen Hirsh : A winery worker, referred to by Randy as “one of the best singers this year.” Creighton Fraker : Discovered late in life that his birth father was the lead singer of a heavy metal band. Joshua Ledet : “Hallelujah,” he simply shouted upon hearing the great news. Haley Johnsen : Said she has one mission: To “break out of my shyness and gain confidence.” Now has her chance.
