With his new movie “Magic Mike” set to hit theaters on June 29th, Channing Tatum amped up promotions by landing the cover of the June 2012 issue of Out magazine. The 32-year-old actor looked studly in ensembles from Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein for the Nino Muñoz shot spread accompanying the article titled “From Stripper to Superstar”. People say that women and the gay community will go see it — knock on wood — but I know straight guys won’t be like, ‘Yo, what’s up man — you wanna go see the stripping movie after the game tonight?’ I doubt they’ll have the balls to see it. What’s funny is that the girls don’t ask me questions about my stripping days, but straight guys want to know everything. It’s that fantasy element. It’s probably why a lot of females on Halloween are the whorey version of a ketchup bottle, or slutty nurse, which I love and respect — it’s liberating.” On becoming a male stripper at age 19: “I was definitely looking for something to take me into the dark side. You learn something about yourself, you learn about men, women, you see a lot of depressing s**t, people that are lost. But at the same time, the dark side can be exciting. It can feel like you’re cheating death every night.” On having to strip down: “I never enjoyed the taking-the-clothes-off part. Just two days after John Travolta’s first accuser filed papers to dismiss his sexual battery lawsuit against the actor, the second accuser has followed suit. The second accuser, also a male masseur, just fired his lawyer and will reportedly file new papers in an effort to dismiss the lawsuit in the near future. The second accuser had claimed Travolta assaulted him on January 28 at an Atlanta spa resort. Travolta allegedly grabbed the masseur’s penis, etc. It’s the last remaining lawsuit against Travolta, as both the third accuser (Fabian Zanzi) and the fourth accuser who came forward today have not filed. The first accuser, who had claimed a similar junk-grabbing incident occurred on January 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, dropped his lawsuit on Tuesday. Attorney Okorie Okorocha, who repped both accusers, claims he doesn’t know why his second client called it quits , but both have hired Gloria Allred . John Travolta is quick to deny reports that he paid off the men. The “Vampire Diaries” starlet smiled as she posed for photos alongside gal pal AnnaSophia Robb and signed autographs for the lucky fans that got to meet her. In career news, Nina recently commented on the notion that she should star in the film adaptation of the sexy book du jour “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Ms. Dobrev noted, “All I’ve heard is that it’s very scandalous, to say the least. I haven’t read it, but who knows? I mean, well, I guess we’ll have to see.” What about her boyfriend Ian Somerhalder in the male lead? “I don’t know if that’s a good idea. I think it’s best for any of the actors on the ‘Vampire Diaries’ to kind of do their own things … and create new characters. Working with Ian a second time isn’t as appealing to Nina as you night think, though. I miss doing other things.
