Brooklyn Decker Talks Horse Name, Family Aspirations

She has two new films, “Battleship” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”, due out on May 18th and, as part of her promotional blitz, Brooklyn Decker landed herself a feature in the June 2012 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. The 25-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty donned designer dresses from the likes of Bottega Veneta and Proenza SAchouler for the Miguel Reveriego shot spread while dishing about everything from where she got her name to family aspirations with tennis pro hubby Andy Roddick . Highlights from Miss Decker’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Vanity Fair ! On where she got her name: “I’m named after a horse. My mom’s best friend had a horse named Brooke, so my dad suggested ‘Brooklyn’ as a more formal version, and it just stuck—and now I live in Brooklyn part-time, so go figure.” On her long-term plans with husband Andy Roddick: “I think that I’d like to try to be a superwoman and have kids and work, so we’ll see if I can actually accomplish that. But, if we’re talking dream scenario, that would probably be it.” On not being in demand when she first started modeling: “There were countless jobs I didn’t get because of my figure. I wasn’t that successful as a model, ever. I just had a few clients that really embraced my curves.” On walking away from modeling at the height of her career: “The Sports Illustrated cover was the last thing I shot. That week, I told my agent, ‘You know what, I really …I don’t want to be a model anymore. I really want to do movies.’ And I think he wanted to wring my neck at the moment.” Photo Credit: Miguel Reveriego for Vanity Fair

Swimsuit Sexy Jennifer Lopez: Backing Out Of ‘American Idol’?

She’s just been named the most powerful female celebrity by Forbes magazine while slated to begin a world tour and her new film hits theaters this Friday, but now it appears as if Jennifer Lopez is backing out of her position as judge on “American Idol.” After two consecutive seasons as judge, Lopez – who flaunted her fabulous 42-year-old swimsuit figure for the June 2012 issue of Vogue magazine – first hinted at not returning for another season on a recent episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” saying, “I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down.” However, now sources close to the music superstar say the rumor is true, explaining, “There is just too much going on for her right now,” adding, “she regrets she can’t stay on the show, it’s been an incredible experience and she is forever grateful that she did it.” Though the “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” beauty has not officially confirmed the news herself, “American Idol” executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, tells TMZ , they want her to stay, saying, “We want her back. I want her back,” adding, “I know how much she loves doing the show and how much she cares for the kids.” That said, Nigel finished by stating, “It’s a business. She has to weigh everything. I know she’s gotten lots of offers to do movies and other things.” Now that her return is up in the air, let the multimillion dollar negotiations begin! Photo Credit: Vogue

Jennifer Lopez Leaving American Idol, Sources Say

While Jennifer Lopez has publicly said she has yet to make a decision about her future, numerous sources say she’s all but officially leaving American Idol . Having just been ranked as Forbes’ most powerful celebrity in large part because Idol revitalized her career, J. Lo may be ready to take her talents elsewhere. “She’s just too busy ,” one source said, and with a tour with Enrique Iglesias kicking off this summer, with plans to go worldwide in the fall, there’s no doubting that. If nothing else, the next round of Idol auditions would begin while she’s overseas, and all that time away from her kids is said to be wearing on her too. “It is just like any working mom’s dilemma,” Lopez, who can also been seen in What to Expect When You’re Expecting , told E! News this week. “It’s tough. You put them first and then you have all these other things that you have to do, and you have to make sure that they’re OK. It’s a balancing act.” One that may cause her to ride off into the sunset … but not if Fox has its way. A network source said, “Fox does not want to let her go. They love her.” Enough to double her $20 million salary to keep her? Stay tuned. [Photo: WENN.com]

Should Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Star in 50 Shades of Grey?

Would Kristen Stewart be up for starring in Fifty Shades of Grey? She hasn’t read it yet, but she’s already dying to star in a new film with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, and it’s loosely based on their characters, so … maybe! The sexy novel trilogy by EL James, recently acquired by Universal Studios in a movie deal, was inspired by Edward and Bella from the Twilight novels. Knowing this, could she see herself and Rob in 50 Shades? “I’m dying to make another movie with Rob, I think that we’re a good team ,” Kristen said. “I think whatever it is needs to be so ridiculously ambitious.” “So maybe! I just haven’t read it, so I don’t know too much about what it is, but I’ve heard good things, and would love to work with him again.” Kristen reiterated that she “doesn’t know” when asked if she could picture herself and Rob playing Christian and Anastasia in 50 Shades of Grey. You can see why the idea appeals to many fans, however – as is another faux vampire combo in The Vampire Diaries ‘ Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. In the book, Ana (based off of Bella) falls for Christian (based on Edward Cullen), a 27-year-old entrepreneur who introduces her into his erotic world of S&M. What do you think? Would the Snow White and the Huntsman star be a good fit? Vote for who you think should play both lead characters below: Who should play Anastasia : Who should play Christian :

Jennifer Lopez Leads Forbes Celebrity 100 List

With $52 million in earnings over the last 12 months and a huge amount of fame, Jennifer Lopez is No. 1 on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list for the first time. A few years ago it looked like Lopez was done, too. Her albums failed to find the broad audience she once enjoyed, and several of her movies were flops. Then in 2010 the singer landed a judge’s chair on American Idol . The job gave her a platform to promote her music and turn her image around. She did. She also split with husband, Marc Anthony, a move that, while said, gave J. Lo even more media attention and subsequent big-money endorsement deals. With contracts for L’Oreal and Gillette, a line of clothing at Kohl’s, a fragrance, and a whopping $20 million Idol salary, she’s got it made here in 2012. Her 6.6 million followers on Twitter and 12 million fans on Facebook are a testament to her social popularity, as well, cementing her #1 Forbes ranking. Lopez unseats Lady Gaga , who topped the list last year. The pop star slides to fifth place this year with $52 million in earnings, down from $90 million last year (the Gaga didn’t tour much in the last 12 months). In second place is Oprah Winfrey, whom Gaga unseated for No. 1 last year. Winfrey had a rough 12 months, too. Oprah’s down years are #2 overall. Ranking third on our list is Justin Bieber, with $55 million in the past year thanks to touring and record sales. Rihanna came in at #4 in the rankings. [Photo: WENN.com]

Peter Berg, Battleship Director, Grills Israeli Reporter on Military Service, Foreign Policy

Battleship director Peter Berg was doing an interview for his new movie last week when he somehow started grilling an Israeli reporter about foreign policy matters … as well as the journalist’s own military service (or lack thereof). After outlining a bellicose view of the political situation in the Middle East, Berg asked the 25-year-old reporter if he ever served in the Israeli military. When the reporter replied “No,” Berg responded, “What?! How did you get out of that? Are you a draft dodger? You better join the army motherf**ker!!!” Yeah. It was awkward, and we don’t really get it either. Peter Berg Interview At least Berg added that Rihanna is a great actress.

It’s just amazing!” On playing a pregnant woman in multiple movies: “I had already mourned the loss of my fertility for myself, so I was past it. The only time it really affected me was when Alec Baldwin looked me straight in the eye and asked me, ‘Are you pregnant right now?’ And I blanched totally. Because of course, technically, no. I wasn’t.” On thinking that she had physical impediments to an acting future: “I thought I had chicken legs, and I thought, Oh, my boobies are too small. It was the era of Cindy Crawford and The Body—and I didn’t have that.” On outearning her husband: “Well, we’re the first generation to do it. And it’s very ingrained even in our DNA that men are hunter-gatherers who are meant to go off and provide. And that we are really meant to stay at home and have kids…. Let’s be honest.
