Courtesy Katy Perry Katy , is that you? Our favorite blue-haired singer is coming to TV in a couple of weeks, and her guest appearance ain’t so pretty. Perry is joining the cast of Raising Hope on the show’s March 6 episode, playing Rikki, a prison attendant from character Sabrina’s (actress Shannon Woodward) past. Wednesday, she shared a photo from the set , her blue locks covered in a curly red wig. According to E! Online , Perry has a personal connection to the FOX comedy. “Shannon Woodward is my best friend,” she said in a statement . “A couple weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when she called me up and asked if I wanted to do something ‘fun’ for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, ‘Sure, I have nothing else to do, and I like chillin’ with my best friend.’” So Perry donned that wig, some prison gear and what appears to be a bit of facial hair for what’s sure to be a hilarious guest spot. “[Showrunner] Greg [Garcia] was nice,” Perry continued, “but I hope he’s not secretly sabotaging my potential future career by typecasting me in the role of just a looker, so that I would never be able to play anything more challenging.” Garcia countered in his own silly statement, saying Perry “did a terrific job. She was hilarious. And now people are telling me that Katy is also a singer.
