Miley Cyrus Performs Bob Dylan Cover on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Miley Cyrus took a break this week from her and Liam Hemsworth’s battle against Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live . The 19-year old took to the talk show stage to once again give her take on the Bob Dylan classic, “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go.” Other artists taking part on the CD include Adele, Ke$ha, Sting, Patti Smith, My Morning Jacket, My Chemical Romance and Queens Of The Stone Age. Pretty impressive company for Miley to be included in, no doubt. Watch her performance from Wednesday night’s JKL now: Miley Cyrus – “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” (Jimmy Kimmel Live)

Bono Turns Sydney RED For World AIDS Day

Showing up for an important day in Sydney, Australia, Bono was spotted talking to press ahead of the lighting of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge on Tuesday (November 30). Joined by bandmate The Edge, the U2 front man was chosen to flick the switch to turn the iconic buildings red in honor of AIDS Day 2010. World AIDS Day is coming up on December 1st and helps to raise awareness of the ongoing fight against the AIDS epidemic with more than 80 iconic landmarks across 13 countries set to light up red for the awareness day. In related news, Bono and The Edge recently spoke with MTV about their work on the Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” – saying that comic books and rock music go together delightfully. “There’s always been a thing with punk rock bands and comics,” Bono said. “It’s always been there. Even the Ramones, who are also from Queens [New York] like Peter Parker and Mary Jane, they covered the theme to Spider-Man.” “It goes through all, not just rock and roll culture, it’s in modern art,” he added. “You see it in Roy Lichtenstein’s work, all the pop artists’ work; they all sample from comics.” Photo Credit: Getty Images

Carrie Prejean: Pregnant!

THG loves babies more than we hate self-serving, ignorant beauty queens that exploit their religion for money and fame. Therefore, we have no choice but to offer our sincere congratulations to Carrie Prejean. Last night, she and husband Kyle Boller announced they are expecting! “We are just so excited,” said Prejean, who is three months along. “I’m due in May on my grandmother’s birthday. She recently passed away, so that’s very special to us.” Carrie Prejean will teach her child how to turn ignorant into fame. Prejean and Boller walked down the aisle in early July. Added that back-up quarterback for the Oakland Raiders: “I have the most beautiful pregnant wife ever, we are so in love and this was just the best news when we found out a couple of weeks ago.”

Jared Leto: Music Before Parties and Chicks

Taking care of some errands, Jared Leto was spotted leaving his hotel in New York City earlier today (October 13). The “Kings and Queens” singer was joined by a female friend and looked to be carrying his MacBook laptop computer as he strolled past the paparazzi. Jared recently told press that, unlike many of his rock star contemporaries, his band 30 Seconds to Mars doesn’t do the whole groupie scene. “People are more likely to come up to us with artwork or poems or they’ve made you something like a bracelet rather than the other thing (sex). But, our music never dictated that. We didn’t get into a band to party and get chicks.”Photo Credit: StarTraks Photo

Here She Comes, Italy’s 375-Pound "Miss Chubby" Beauty Pageant Winner

Beauty queens are not known for being an especially diverse group in the size department. Whether their skin is alabaster white or coffee brown, usually they’ve got legs up to here and weigh 120 lbs. soaking wet. But for the past 21 years, Italy has crowned a different sort of beauty queen: Miss Chubby. Yes, the country that invented Sophia Loren (and spaghetti bolognese and cannoli) acknowledges that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.?

Barf: Dress Your Little Beauty Queen In Miss America-Approved Attire!

Apparently the world can’t get enough of pint-sized beauty queens and toddlers in tiaras because the Miss America pageant decided to expand its empire to include a clothing line for miniature divas! Where once stage moms dressed their mini-me’s in poofy skirts and kitten heels from the local pageant store, now they can put them in French terry hoodies, purses, rugby-striped polo dresses, bathrobes, and ballet slippers—all for under $25 and preciously decorated with the requisite tiaras, sparkle, and stars. On the plus side, the line is vaguely age-appropriate in that there aren’t any midriff-baring shirts or skimpy skirts, and the makers claim the focus is on empowerment and positive self-esteem in young girls. Uh-huh. [ WWD ]
